| 1. Fish Korma (mild/sweet) |
| The korma was perfected in India by Monguls. There are many types, our interpretation is the traditional mild and sweet variety, made with chunks of salmon and cooked with coconut, almond, cream and milk to give a rich sophisticated eating experience. (£6.50) |
| 2. Dhansak (hot) |
| Dhanska originates from Hyderabad, the southern central part of India, the land of Nowabs (Leader). This tasty dish combines lentils, onions, garlic and frech ginger and frech coriander, cooked in a hot, sweet and sour sauce. (£5.90) |
| 3. Fish Masala (sweet) |
| Originates in the northern region of the Indian sub-continent it is chunks of fish cooked in a delicate, yet really tasty masala sauce. (6.50) |
| 4. Fish Rogan Josh (spicy) |
| Strictly speaking, "rogan josh" has the literal meaning of rich tomato sauce. The dish has its origins in Persia, but was transported by the Mongolian emperors to Kashmir in northern India several centuries ago. (£5.90) |
| 5. Jalfrezi (hot) |
| This dish used to be cooked by a tribe of people called "Mags" from the Chittagong Hills near Calcutta, for the officers of the British Raj. Our version uses tender pieces of salmon fish cooked with chillies, onions and pepper, in a tangy tasty sauce. (£5.90) |
| 6. Fish Balti (spicy) |
(served with Naan or Rice) Much has been written about balti dishes literally translated, "balti" simply means "bucket". In the northern parts of the indian sub-continent and Afghanistan, they have used 'Karahi" dish (wok with little handles) to prepare food for centuries. in the UK, settlers from the Punjab and Kashmir developed the balti Karahi which have now become what we call balti. The dish contains succulent pieces of gently cooked fish, with onions, pepper in a medium spicy sauce for a truly authentic flavour. (£7.90) |
